Connectivity Checkup

Your MediPendant™ automatically checks-in with our computers at our Emergency Monitoring Center.

MediPendant™ Features

Easy 3-minute Installation

The MediPendant™ Medical Alert System is very easy to install:

  • Plug it to the power outlet
  • Plug it to the phone line outlet
  • (Optional) plug a phone to it.

Real Coverage: Speak and Listen directly Through the Pendant

The MediPendant™ is the only truly effective Two-Way monitored Medical Alert System because it enables you to speak and listen directly through the pendant. All other monitored Medical Alert Systems use pendants that just have a button that can activate the base station to call the Emergency Monitoring Center, but you can’t be heard or hear unless you are within up to 30-40 feet (depending on building structure and condition) from the base station. The MediPendant™, however, can be carried with you until up to 600 feet (depending on building structure and condition) away from the base station and you will still have Two-Way voice capability.

Out of Range Alarm

The MediPendant™ has a unique feature: you can press the System Check button on the pendant and the system will perform a full system check including being out of range. That way you know the precise coverage area around and outside your home.

Pendant Battery Life: 6 hours of Talk Time, 1 Year Stand-By Time

The Pendant operates with a Li123 battery that provides up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 1 year of Stand-By time. Your kit includes a bonus battery. Additional batteries can be purchased at any local pharmacy or hardware store.

Base Station Backup Battery Life: 30 hours

In case of a power outage, the base station provides up to 30 hours of backup battery time and its batteries will recharge once power has been restored.

Water Resistant

The MediPendant™ may be worn in the bath or shower. Water will come out through the drainage hole. The base station should never be exposed to water.

Multiple Carrying Methods

The MediPendant™ can be worn around the neck, clipped to your belt, or around your wrist.

Loss of Power Alarm

If your base station loses power (gets unplugged, the breaker goes off or there’s a loss of power to the home) the base station will start beeping. You will then know that your MediPendant™ Medical Alert System is working off backup battery and that it will  not be working after the battery backup dies (after 30 hours when fully charged) unless you take care of the power issue.

Loss of Connectivity Alarm

If your base station loses connectivity (the phone line gets unplugged, workers in your home cut a wire or your phone company disconnected the line) the base station will start beeping. You will then know that the MediPendant™ Medical Alert System will not be working unless you take care of the connectivity issue.

Emergency Monitoring Center Features

Bi-Lingual Emergency Monitoring Center

Our Emergency Monitoring and Help Center operators are college-educated and certified Emergency Medical Technicians, or EMTs. They are also Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish.) That means our people will be best prepared to deal with the emergency situations that may arise.

Emergency Monitoring Center Stays on the Line Until Help Arrives

On those cases when our Emergency Monitoring and Help Center operators dispatch an ambulance to your home, they will stay on the line with you until help arrives. They can also conference in the contacts in your list. That means that they can update emergency responders with any changes on your condition.

Business Policies

Free Shipping

Shipping fees are included for standard 5-7 days shipping. Expedite 2-3 day shipping fee is $18.95. Return ground shipping costs are covered by True Med Alert when using shipping labels generated by True Med Alert.

No Long Term Contract.

With True Med Alert there are no long-term contracts. You pay on a month-by-month basis. You can return the equipment at any time and True Med Alert will stop the monthly recurring billing for the immediate following month based on the shipping date considering a 5-day grace period into the month.
For example, if the equipment is shipped back to us on any day between June 1st and June 5th, the month of June will not be charged. If the equipment is shipped back to us between June 6th and June 30th, June will be charged, but July will not be charged.

Deposit.

In order to protect the equipment and keep prices low for responsible subscribers, True Med Alert requires a $150 deposit for the MediPendant™. The deposit will be returned upon return of the equipment when the subscriber decides to cancel the service.

30-Day Risk-Free Trial

There will be no charges during the first 30 calendar days starting from the day after the equipment is received by the customer. We will only run an authorization for the deposit amount ($150) on your credit card. If the equipment is shipped back (shipping date) within those 30 days there will be no charges at all.

First Charges and Subsequent Monthly Charges

The first two charges will be for (a) the $150 deposit and (b) the prorated monthly fee for the remaining days in the calendar month after the 30-day trial expires plus the fee for the upcoming month. Starting from the second charge and on it will be for the full monthly fee for the upcoming calendar month.
For example, if the equipment was received by the customer on June 10th the 30-day trial will end on July 10th. The first day for which the service is charged will be July 11th. The first service charge (besides the deposit) will be for the prorated monthly fee corresponding to the period between July 11th and July 31st, plus the full monthly fee for August. The first charge is made during the first 5 business days starting from the first day for which the service is charged. Subsequent charges are made during the first 5 business days of each calendar month.

Warranty and Replacement Policy

The MediPendant™ is manufactured to high standards and specifications that are designed to provide you security and peace of mind for many years.
Under our Basic Plan True Med Alert will replace any MediPendant™ system and/or components which prove to be defective. Equipment which has been subject to abuse, misuse, alteration, unauthorized repair, or damage as a result of Acts of God beyond the control of True Med Alert, is not covered by the warranty and will be replaced at a charge to the customer.
Under our Premium Plan all damage is covered by the warranty.
True Med Alert will decide in each case if the equipment will be partially or totally replaced.

Returned Equipment Conditions

All returned items must be undamaged and delivered in their original box. True Med Alert shall have the right of final determination of the existence and cause of damage to the equipment. True Med Alert will return the deposit totally or partially accordingly. The process can take up to 15 business days and in case True Med Alert determines there is damage it will mail an explanatory letter to the customer.
Subscriber accounts will continue to be charged until all equipment items are received by True Med Alert.

Portable Service Available in All 50 states

Our service is available in all 50 states. If you move, or even if you just spend time in different locations, you can take your system will you. Just call us and let us know where you will be or else we will not be able to effectively dispatch emergency responders.

If you want to use the warranty, or if you want to get a shipping label for a return, you must contact our 24/7 Customer Service team at 877-755-1370, option 2. We will mail you a shipping label. We can also send it by email so you can print it and ship it sooner. If you decide you ship it on your own, you must ship it to our mailing address below.
